This house in the Modern style is located between the Majdan and the Golden Gate. From there you reach out very quick the Wladimir Cathedral and on the other side the Sophien Cathedral. It’s in the middle of the old Russian part of Kiew. It’s...More

What a wonderful structural house! It's right on the corner of Volodymyrska and Saksanhanskovo! Overall, there's a Katyusha restaurant next to it! I thought it was a bank at first, but it wasn't, it was a writer/philosopher's former residence! Amazing!

This building certainly does stand out, not sure it's worthy of a detour though. However, it is on the way to Golden Gate so you will probably pass it on the way anyway.

This has to be one of the most impressive buildings in Kiev. It is across the road from Golden Gate and worth a short while studying the ornate and detailed stonework, carvings etc. It is simply magnificent!

as far as I know Hotel is planned to open there - thus it is under renovation (for 5 years already!!!!) You can see it only from the outside when visiting Golden Gates - real monument of ancient times

The architecture on this house was immaculate! I couldn't imagine the up-keep involved for this house. But it is definitely one of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen.

This beautiful building across the Golden Gates, at the corner of Volodymyrska and Prorizna Streets, falls into the eyes of anyone walking along the area. It has always been among my favourite in Kyiv, and I never miss a chance to stop by and enjoy...More
