We have fallen in love 4 years ago with Sudurad and Sipan Island when we were on a boat excursion from Dubrovnik. We can't get enough of the quiet fishing village, the rocky beach, the beautiful view from our apartment's balcony. For us this is...More
We went here visiting on a tour, and it was a super cute and nice little fishing village. There are locals selling olive oil all around and small little boats to admire. The best part, just outside the village is the family vineyard, Oil and...More
I don't want to tell you about this gem of a place but I have to. It's beautiful, relaxing, amazing. Come eat Tapas and taste the family wine. We went for the Sime which is a Merlot. It's beautiful and the best glass if wine...More
A great place to visit in Sudurad on the island of Šipan is the Wine and Oil tasting of the Daničić family. Taste 2 wines at c.£2.50 per glass with similar prices for tapas and olive oil.
Antonia will take you through the history and...More
Sudurad is a village with a split personality: for about 6 hours per day it is overrun with tourist boats and then, for the remainder of the day, turns back into a sleepy fishing village.
While it is a beautiful location and well worth visiting,...More
Revisited Sudurad after a brief stopover least year. It is in a great location, very picturesque plus there is a local family making their own red wine, which is very good.
Sudurad is a beautiful place but is spoiled by all of the tourist boats...More
Having been spoiled with the calm and tranquil setting of Sipanska Luka, we found Sudurad too busy. There were ferries coming in and out every five minutes, with eager sightseers flooding the village. Although very pretty, we found it too much for what we wanted...More

Yes. It’s easy. Download the Uber app onto your phone as you will use this all the time whilst in Dubrovnik as Uber cabs are a lot cheaper than local cabs. Get a cab from the airport into Gruz harbour. Ask for hotel Petra which is just across the road from the island ferry terminal. It’s 17km and will cost about €40. Book the ferry on line or at the port when u get there. It’s about €6 return to sipan and the ferry timetable is on line. Just google it. Week days it does about 5 return journeys from very early am to last one at 8pm you can stay in one of two resorts. Suduran ( whuch us were the ferry comes in ) which is very tiny and only has 3 places to eat and one bar or sipanski Lula which is 5km away but the local bus will be waiting for u when u gat off the ferry. It’s a bigger resort with about a dozen restaurants and a beach but not as quaint as Suduran. Hope this helps. Ask more questions if u want. I’m at Sipan now 😳
