Famous for its excellent white wine ~ a good enough reason for a visit. The ancient walled town is the birth place of Marco Polo. Wander the winding streets and explore hidden courtyards at your leisure. The boat trip there is very pleasant too.

Lovely to see- quiet, peaceful, old buildings in a gorgeous setting. In late October, very much the end of season so i don't think we got to see it at it's very best

This is a small island that is ideal for a day trip out of Dubrovnik. Hiking and just hanging out are wonderful ways to enjoy a day. I would not say that this is a destination that one would spend several days visiting, a day...More

They say it’s the birthplace of Marco Polo so everything is based on him. It’s a beautiful village with loads of places to eat and drink. We stayed over on the mainland and in September the last ferry to Orebic is 8.00pm although the car...More

Great old town with lots of narrow streets to explore. Cafes and restaurants are many and offer good food, drinks and great views.

Take swimming costumes as the sea water pool and the coast are lovely. Walk up to the fort is very steep

We had lovely drinks sitting overlooking the sea, there was shopping, sightseeing - all in a compact small town with a lot of history. Great food as well - happy we saw it!

There is the catamaran to korcula from Dubrovnik which takes 2hours and costs around £30 return. We only did the trip from korcula to Dubrovnik but you can check the times online

It will be a long day trip !. Roads are fine but narrow and winding in places thus takes a while to travel - a good 2 hours without stopping if lucky to the ferry. You then need to time it with the ferry's which are great... More

I would vote to stay in the old town and drive/bus to lumbarda. That way you have the ability to talk to some nice cafes/restaurants in the evenings without too far to travel.
