Famous for its excellent white wine ~ a good enough reason for a visit. The ancient walled town is the birth place of Marco Polo. Wander the winding streets and explore hidden courtyards at your leisure. The boat trip there is very pleasant too.
This is a small island that is ideal for a day trip out of Dubrovnik. Hiking and just hanging out are wonderful ways to enjoy a day. I would not say that this is a destination that one would spend several days visiting, a day...More

It will be a long day trip !. Roads are fine but narrow and winding in places thus takes a while to travel - a good 2 hours without stopping if lucky to the ferry. You then need to time it with the ferry's which are great and easy to use with the car, only hiccup being if there is an emergency and ambulances are needed on the island they get preference and travel solo and cars get left behind as happened to us. Beautiful island so its worth staying and spending time there
