This icy high-altitude lake is the legendary birthplace of the Inca civilization, and is also believed to hold precious Inca treasure. When Jacques Cousteau explored the lake for treasure, he discovered instead a large, colorful deep-water frog.

It’s the highest lake in the world (3800 meter high). but the water is smelly (at de the copacabana side) and the lake doesn’t look attractive.

We took a small boat on Lake Titicaca to Isla de Sol. Wonderful trip from Copacabana. The water is so clear and fresh. Beautiful colours and numerous islands along our route.

This is a big lake, and I don’t have a bad word to say about it. It’s pretty. It’s pretty big. Affords some very nice views from Copacabana. Shame about the interloping trout (though they are tasty).

This is an amazing trip! Our driver organized snacks, lunch and oxygen bottles! The views are incredible, and the drive to the Lake exceptional. I highly recommend it!

An amazing place framed with beautiful mountains around it. There are many local villages living life as they have for hundreds of years. A real experience.

Beautiful lake, with more to offer than we took advantage of. We did hike the trails around Copacabana along the coast of the lake, but altitude sickness got the best of us during our stay so we were limited in other activities.

The lake is massive and if you have time to go about on a boat and just experience the lake it could be good. There is not that much development yet.
