Ancient tree with excellent reader boards about the role this tree played in Kasane's history, as well as the baobabs more traditional uses.

Thus about 500m from Chobe Marina lodge and Chobe Safari lodge. along the Kazungula Kasane road. This was used as a detention prison in the olden days.

The tree is impressive and the history connected to it is also very interesting. So easy to miss but worth a stop outside the Police Station for a look

Right next to the Chobe safari lodge at the police station you can see this big baobab tree, which was used as a prison. Amazing that a tree can grow this big

Stopped there with our guide and really didnt expect this to be a real thing. Well, joke was on me, this actually used to be a prison inside the tree! Really cool little spot with some local history.

This is a must visit. There is a tree right in front of the police station. With a info board. But that we do not know is behind the police station there is a tree that was used to hold 14 prisoners in side.will post...More

In the center of the small village of Asane you’ll find this beautiful and old Baobab. It’s really wort a visit and a walk around and inside.
