I wouldn´t recommend if you are visiting hurghada and want to see only the clean places. This particulary is dirty and cheap place to buy tasty fruits etc. :)

We took a city tour and visited this area, has a fruit and vegetable souk, also a market if you go evening time. This is mainly where the locals live.

Bustling by day megga bustling in the evening. Over-run by taxis who can be a little pushy, however, a quick NO usually does the trick. Dahar is the local area of Hurghada and contains the huge fruit and vegetable market that not only sells giant...More

Worth a visit. Experience the local area of Hurghada. Safe to walk through the streets. Very friendly people willing to assist with anything, good food and shopping (not as great as Cairo but worth it).
