This was a great site for ruins. The views of the sea of Galilee were also very beautiful. It really helps to have a guide to explain what you're seeing especially since there are different eras of history here.

Kfar Naum, or Cafarnaum, was the city of Peter, the favorite disciple of Jesus Christ. Seeing the home of Peter and the construction of the Byzantine remains of the Church, including the sights of the Synagogue where Jesus taught is an amazing opportunity to go back in time.

This is the last historical site we visited after a long trip through the Middle East. We had the advantage of a very good guide which you will need to fully appreciate its significance.

I loved the ruins of this place. So much rich history!!! As with most of the sites in the area, this one has a church built on top of some historical site, but the ruins are really interesting.
