Easy access by metro. Lovely grounds. Three cemeteries (one for scientists, one for artists/musicians, one free one for others). You can visit the church. There are little enclosed stands that sell items made or packaged by the priests, plus some touristy items. Cafe available. Bathroom...More

The Cathedral features a large dome and two bell towers - very impressive inside and out. The cemeteries are where many celebrated figures of Russian history and culture are buried including Tchaikovsky and Borodin.

Easy stop off green line of subway. One of the few highly rated sites without many tour groups. Beautiful space in which to pray. We had a priest chanting prayers throughout our visit which added aural beauty as well. God is good.

Located at Alexander Nevsky metro station this old church is magnificant in its own right but rather more famous for its cemetery in which some of the most famous Russians have been buried. Very serene and tranquil place.
