It is currently under renovation so we viewed from afar. Beautiful area and worthwhile to be able to view as much as we did in the area.

The view from Arlington House is great. But the house is undergoing refurbishment. So the exterior is covered with scaffolding. I am sure it is needed and will be finished as soon as possible.

Nice view of house from John F. Kennedy gravesite. Unfortunately the house was closed for construction. I will have to return in April for Cherry Blossoms , Robert E Lee house, and Jefferson's Monument. Maybe Washington Monument Elevator will be working.

This property was seized by the US government once the Civil War began. There were major renovations ongoing so I could not access the house.

This will be nice once it re-opens from extensive renovations. Built my George Washingtons' adopted son (no lie!) and then bought by Robert E Lee to live in before the Civil War.

We climbed up all the way to the Robert E. Lee Memorial (Arlington House) only to find out that it is undergoing restoration now. Still worth a climb because it is a perfect place to take good panoramic pictures of Washington and Arlington Cemetery. However,...More

Arlington House was in severe need of renovations. Now that is happening. The National Park Service administers the site within Arlington National Cemetery. They state that Arlington House will re-open in the Fall of 2019, restored to it's 1860 condition. There is lots of history...More

I would contact the visitors center directly. I am not sure how you would go about booking a ranger-led tour.

Yes. There are park rangers at the visitor center and Arlington house that can answer all questions including the junior ranger program.
