This square is the center of the historical area of Salvador and from here you can cover the streets of the old town.The square is not that interrsting but the various buildings around compensate.

You will come onto the terreiro de jesus plaza at some stage as one of the main areas of the old town. Lot's of tourists, churches and souvenir shops. Hard to miss!

Not to be missed because of the history. During Carnaval, it was very lively. With our guide, Luciano, we learned a lot. Very enjoyable.

This great plaza has some vendors that sell real traditional food from Bahia. The plaza is within the historical center and it is one of its entrance. Nice place.

There are nice buildings around the square, and it's always full of locals and tourists. It's a good place for people-watching and getting the feel of the old city.
