For anyone that has visited a real lagoon with really clear water and lots to see (Hanauma bay Hawaii) this and lagoa azul are going to be a crushing disappointment. Stick to te Atlantic side beaches.

Swam to lagoa azul from neighboring beach certainly do not need a boat tour. Snorkeling at the near beach was much better with sea turtles! Beautiful area nonetheless

The boat took us there and we swimed with snorkels. It was so beautiful. The water were clear and the mountain with the tropical wood. Just heaven.
