At the centre of this small historic town the square is surrounded by both historic buildings and inviting restaurants. The stone carvings at the entrance to the cathedral are exquisite and the nearby loggia served as an open-air courthouse.

You can really feel the influence Italy has had on Croatia in this small, but very pretty, town square. It is very similar to the main square in Florence, with a similar open-air loggia (but without the Florentine statues!). The loggia served as Trogir's public...More

The history, architecture and people of Trogir are amazingly beautiful. There are no words to accurately describe being there and experiencing it.

Luckily we came here in the evening off season but I can imagine this square being packed in summer with tourists.

We loved our time in Trogir and particularly sitting in the main square taking in the busy and friendly atmosphere. It isnt very big but has a church, a chapel, restaurants and shops enough to keep you busy for a couple of hours. Or just...More

Even though we went out of season or near to the end of the season found it to be very busy however there are two cafes near by and was great to sit and admire the location.

This is a great place to sit in the evening often with music playing or bands playing there are a number of cafe bars and restaurants to choose from.

We were so lucky with the weather and the bar we chose (Trogir Cafe). The staff were excellent and we were there when a fantastic group played live. Everyone was up dancing and the atmosphere was terrific.

The central square is surrounded by some churches, the town loggia and the usual shops and restaurants. Again, very little information was displayed on the various sites, rather disappointing so. The main church may only be entered if you are suitably dressed up.

Trogir is about 10 minutes away from Split airport, by bus (number 37). Buses are every 20 min. from main road outside airport. Trogir is small so once there it will only be a 5-10min walk to any of the hotels.
