Ok so it is another cathedral. It might be me but there aren't many in the world that stand out especially when you seen so many. This is like that, although it is on the 'should see' list. It is just by quite a nice...More

This centrally located Cathedral is stunning as a structure itself, both exterior and interior. What ruins the aura is the amount of distractions centered around it. There was multiple beggars, multiple noisy bands, people were talking loudly inside the cathedral. The noise distracts from it...More

It is definitely a nice cathedral and a good destination to see while in Guayaquil. Expect to see a lot of beggars around the building. There was a closed public bathroom just outside the church and people were using the surrounding areas as bathroom. Not...More

This church is beautiful inside and out. Just next to Iguana park. Some lovely stained glass which backed right onto the pool of our hotel!

Its right by Iguana Park so its well worth walking through. Nice exterior which does reflect Notre Dame somewhat. There is no charge to enter, its open and airy with beautiful workmanship.

We like visiting cathedrals in other areas when we travel. This one took 15 years to build and the workmanship is amazing. Beautiful stained glass and sculptures.

Located across from Parque Seminario (Iquana Park), this beautiful 90 year old cathederal is open to the public. There will be services small and large going on at most hours so please be respectful. A great opportunity to see first hand some of the religous...More

This is modest by cathedral standards. Yet, it is loosely modeled after Notre Dame in Paris. The exterior had the twin towers, large rose window and peopled Gothic arched doorways of Paris, but on a smaller scale. The interior is grand enough to be inspiring,...More
