Worth the hike. I actually didn’t think it was that bad of a hike. Going down the stairs was easy and quick, coming back up I had to take a couple breathers but it was overly difficult. My mother in law has a bad knee...More

You need to climb down around 500 steps to get to the base of the waterfall where you get a chance to swim in the clear water. The also have a pretty garden restaurant which serves good food and drinks.

The waterfall is really huge giving a stunning picture especially for folks focusing on the perfect vacation pictures. The water is refreshing especially after hiking up the Cerro Chato. The price is with 18 $ a bit over the top.

Absolutely beautiful place, the steps are alot but worth it! The pools at the side are also fun and less crowded than the waterfall.

We took the horses up to the waterfall, had lots of fun doing more than just walking on the horses, we even got to see the natives place and buy some awesome souvenis.

Amazing walk down to an amazing waterfall. The water is clear and cold like spring water maybe 70 degrees. The walk down is beautiful with lots of plants. Strongly recommend going. The walk up takes some energy and my calf’s hurt for several days but...More

This is a great place to visit and take beautiful pictures, it requires that you go down 500 steps and then 500 steps back up! If you are not in decent physical shape it will be hard. It was hard for us but it was...More

You don't really need a guided tour. From La Fortuna, we flagged a taxi, paid 5 dollars taxi to the entrance and paid the $30 entrance fee to enter the park. Be prepared for a fairly strenuous hike up. There are no toilet or... More

I believe three hours is a good amount of time. Going down is fairly quick. Depending upon how crowded it is, you may need to wait to take a swim. The walk up is very tiring. There is a butterfly garden and restaurant at the... More
