It is a very small museum, not much left there to see.We spent 10 minutes and went. It is one room and a handfull of artifacts that you can see everywhere.
A very small but nice Synagogue. One with a lot of history and great importance. Hidden and not easy to find but I think a nice visit worth.
It is very interesting to find those few traces of Judaism in Portugal where once more than 30% of the population were Jewish.this tiny synagogue has been restored to its finest and within a few days I was told also the adjacent Mikva will be opened which right now can be seen…
Just to visit the oldest synagogue in Portugal was amazing. Very simple but beautifully done and the history is all around you!!
Only one small room, very little on display, and also little information available in English. The receptionist also seemed mildly annoyed that we were visiting. Good news - it's free.
