I walked up to the Cerro de la Gloria on the 'down' road. It takes about 25-30 mins but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are fit as it is quite steep in parts. You can't see the monument until you are very close to...More

This is probably one of the most peculiar monumets I have seen, because it is a great monument to honour one of the most important personalities in south america. San Martin can be compared with Napoleon (because the significance of their honours), but this monument...More

We walked up to this place, theres a few lil stalls where they sell food if you feel hungry or to have a drink. The views are mainly from the Stadium and part of the Parque General San Martin.

If you have a red bus card, catch the 200 bus on Montivideo which takes you past the university and drops you at the zoological park. From there is a paved trail up that takes 15 mins to get you to the monument.

One of the highlights of any visit to Mendoza. You can get there via the hop on hop off bus. The Statue is one of the larger to,be seen in and about the city.

Situated on a commanding viewpoint as befits this critical figure in Argentina’s history. The statue is imposing, and the surrounding structure holds plaques in honour of a variety of noted historial figures. A guidebook would have helped us better appreciate the rich story behind St...More

When we decided to go to Cerro de la Gloria, I though it was another gazebo, but I was wrong, again! We'd been there on Christmas day last year, not a good day to do so because there was no taxis or uber... We walked...More
