This is the one site on the island you must see above all others. If you're not on a tour, you'll have to have a car to get there (unless you're up for a long bike ride).
This is the most impressive site on Easter Island. This is where the Moai are carved from the mountain. The National Park passes are good for 10 days but you can only visit this site once.

Didn’t know what this was, pitched up, just amazing. Try and go there on first day as rest falls into place. We took around 2 hours to explore fully
Clearly one of the best spots to see the iconic Moai statues with a fantastic backdrop. There’s a footpath that leads you to the best views and possible pictures. The ranger station has a bathroom, 1USD to use, gift shop and a location map.
