Lake Llanganuco is about 3 hours from Huaraz. Is also the starting point to lodge Peru and mountain Pisco. You can make nice round trip from Llanganuco lake to lodge Peru, conitue to lake 69 and come to the starting point again.

Located at around 3800 mamsl Llanganuco lake provides a wonderful sight. We took a service from Yungay that first took us to Portachuelo (a pass between callejon de Huaylas and callejon de Conchucos) at 4760 mamsl that give us spectacular views of huascaran, chopicalqui, pisco...More

Why they have this listed as Huaraz - which is good distance away, well, such is Tripadvisor. The lake is a glacial lake that sits in a valley. At one end are man made structures that keep the lake in check, and keeps the erosion...More

This is truly a beautiful lake. No need to hike to get to it, just find transportation and pay fee to enter the national park

Great for spending 1-2 hours there. You could take a boat ride for 15-20 minutes at around 6 soles. There are bathrooms and places to buy a snack (choclo con queso)

All tours headed towards Laguna 69 stop at this magnificent lake. It is one of the large turquoise coloured lake with picturesque views. I would recommend going to Laguna 69 and seeing this en route

A really incredible hike and two of the more beautiful lagunas we have seen. The hike to Laguna 69 itself was not very hard other than the altitude which slows it down a little. The only problem is how difficult it is to get here....More

Stunning. The path is well maintained and views beautiful all along. It has a flat path along it for a gentle hike. It's some 20 mins drive from the Llanganuco Mountain lodge, versus 2.5/3 hours from Huaraz or over 1.5 hrs from Yungay. It's a...More

We camped near the lake after Santa Cruz trek and took a short walk on dusty road to the lakeside. The lake as viewed on top of the mountain is like an emerald gem in heart of the mountains. As you get close to the...More

The one I got was in Yungay which is at the bottom of the way up to the lake. I have friends in the town so they have people they know and give them a fair price for a group of many people. But I would think any place is... More
