Little Petra is well worth a visit. It much smaller than Petra but is just as interesting and you are not jostled by big crowds. If you are in the area you should see both. It only takes an hour.

It is less grand than Petra, but a truly remarkable sight. It was a great introduction to what we saw the next day, with fewer crowds.

If you've taken the time to truly explore the main Petra complex, then the buildings here are just more of the same - and, to get here (unless you rented a car) you paid to hire a taxi or a guide. Not money well spent.

Little Petra is only 15 minutes from Petra and if you’ve already been to Petra it will be a disappointment. It is interesting to see but very underwhelming in comparison to the real deal. You barely need half an hour to visit. Ok, but only...More

As the name implies, a smaller version of Petra but if you have seen Petra it takes the edge off it. Located 15 minutes drive from town, Little Petra was where all the camel trains stopped. Bedouin lived in caves here until fairly recent times,...More
