Simon’s town is an attractive small town and marina adjacent to the Penguin colony, en route to Cape point. The marina and setting are attractive and there are restaurants and some pretty average shopping.
Whilst in the town we took a stroll around the square and jetty as well as taking in a bit of the local history by seeing the Just Nuisance statue.
Just sitting there on a bench and looking at the view is amazing. I never go to Simonstown without going to Jubilee Square and Jetty and spend some time there. It is absolutely beautiful. The view from there is amazing.
Wondered around one afternoon and enjoyed the views of the harbor, as well as the few gift shops and restaurants.
Plenty of attended parking at ZAR50 per 1/2 hr. Square surrounded by shops and eateries and a mass of local souvenier stalls all selling wooden trinkets and beaded dolls. Wonderful atmosphere and a fun place to stroll.
