Perfect spot for a walk on a Sunday morning, gets busier a bit later on but well worth a visit for some relaxation and great views

I visit this area every year, unfortunately the sea lion over population has, made it impossible to enjoy the area. Between the profuse smell and the over population of sea lions, there waste is clearly visible and the smell permeates absolutely everything. Life guards refuse...More

This was a highlight for our trip to San Diego. Not only was the weather perfect but we also had a lot of fun watching the seals.

We enjoyed our visit to La Jolla Cove. Not sure if late afternoon is a good time to visit. We did see seals and other marine life. The caves/coves were very cool.

Best diving charter ever. And I mean best diving charter ever!! The way Zach (the owner) and Karina treat their divers make you feel like you are their friend, not their customer. The prices re very, very, reasonable, the variety of the diving spots they...More

A very pretty place but parking is hopeless. We couldn’t get a park so had to drive on. The whole coastline is very pretty.

This cove is a hidden gem. You can spend from an hour to several viewing the seals in their natural habitat. I never visit San Diego without taking this side trip.

Loved this view of the ocean! Great park, view of sea lions (don't go too close, they need their space!). Beautiful.

My family spent 2 days snorkeling the cove this July and didn't see any. We were able to swim with sea lions, which was amazing! Again, it doesn't mean they were not there, we just didn't see any.
