One of my favored movies is Pretty Woman, which, if I'm not mistaken was released about 25 years ago. So I thought I will drive, walk the streets where Richard Here took the Lotus car and ended up in front of his hotel.
We paid for a VIP tour of the Old Chinese Theatre and the result was not what we were expecting. The Theatre itself is quite dark and most of the tour is spent watching old movie clips, looking at costumes and visiting a ladies toilet!...More
I had tried several to book online before arriving but was unable to however we were able to book on the day when we got there which was good. Its a beautiful old building with so much history but it was a very quick tour...More
It's the building itself, but of course the floor with the hands and foots from some of the most important Hollywood actors.
It's impossible to not compare the size of your hands and foots with the famous ones :-)
We went in the beginning of...More
The TCL Chinese Theaters are actually two very different places. One part of it is a dozen or so new theaters in the adjoining mall, on two different levels, which are all quite good,,,though some are quite small.
The main old Chinese Theater, is right...More
Not what I expected! It’s just a video clips about history and some costume and prints tour. If I want to see a video clips I’d rather buy a movie ticket! It’s not a VIP tour, it’s just a costumes and short movie showing.
We spent a while here as we enjoyed seeing all the present and old movie star hand/foot prints. There is one from Harold Lloyd who I used to love as a kid so it was quite a nice experience to stand here for a while....More
The Chinese theatre is prettier in the evening when the light shows take place. It’s too crowded at this time of the day though to actually see the hand/foot prints on the floor. We returned at 9 am one morning when it was empty to...More
I was excited about this tour. I mean a Chinese heritage theater in middle of Hollywood. How can you not make it interesting.
But I was sorry to say quite disappointing. I LOVED the cement hand prints at the entrance but they were just there....More
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night
partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
You can pay $3 for two hours if you get a validation from a store in the Hollywood Highland center. This site does not allow me to post a link. If you google Hollywood Highland parking, you will get more details. Have fun.
