Nice trails and a chance to see amazing scene of two rivers missing to produce milky blue waters of River Celeste. Good road all the way. The visitor center entrance closes at 14-00

We loved our hike to Rio Celeste in Parque Nacional Volcan Tenorio! The trail is fantastic. The steps to the waterfall, and to the area at the end of the trail, and up to the viewing outlook are a fun challenge. Go at 8:00 in...More

This is a great hike combining rainforest wildlife with the bright turquoise water of the Celeste river. The 7km out and back trail has 5 viewing points -- the waterfall, a high viewing platform, the blue lagoon, the borbollones (underwater thermal jets), and the tenideros...More

This was one of the highlights we saw during our 13-day trip to Costa Rica but I will say the hike was a lot more challenging in the rain than without. We paid our $12 fee and headed to the first stop- Tenorio Falls. This...More

Yes, no guide is needed! The path to the falls is well marked. There is a fee to get into the National Park and you will also have to pay for parking
