We visited the pier a couple of times after recommendations in a number of travel guides. On the first occasion, at about 9:30pm, we arrived as the local traders had just packed up (they are there two hours before and two hours after sunset), which...More

Great experience for families. Go see the vendors, performers, even catch a movie on the lawn... So beautiful here. Parking can be a pain, but places worthwhile usually are.. I say you should not go to the Clearwater area and not experience Pier 60..

I see some people aren't impressed with the $1.00 per person charge to go to the end of the pier but it didn't bother us. We sat there for a while and watched people fish and waited for the sunset. It was so worth the...More

Not impressed with this area at all. Beach and sunset were nice but there were a lot of drunk people around. I would have liked to have seen some sort of security somewhere.

If you want to get to the end of the pier to watch the sunset you get about half way and pay $1 per person. Lots of vendors on the pier end of the week making it narrow to walk when it’s busy, watched the...More

The pier was amazing. It had some unique birds walking around. We went out on pier to watch our kids parasail in the ocean. It was awesome.

Nice pier for walking. Nightly sunset celebrations with vendors and street performers. Multiple gift shops with food options. Easy access to surrounding restaurants and shops. Beautiful view of sunsets.

First of all what a great park. Kids can have a blast playing at the playground area, then cool off in the gulf. They have public restrooms too. Apparently the park is open 24 hours a day but the pier is the attraction for us....More

Yes, you may tie down a 10 x 10 canopy on Clearwater Beach, and there is a municipal parking lot for a fee by the hour.

There are public places available to sit down and there are chairs with umbrellas available to rent on the beach. Many attractions are within walking distance.
