Built in 1916 as a winter retreat, this lavish villa is a tribute to the Italian Renaissance. The museum contains much of the original furnishings and artwork, and is surrounded by lush, formal gardens.

Had a blast visiting the Vizcaya museum! Art was full of so much detail and it was just so peaceful! It’s also great for photos. If you get a chance to visit Miami this is one of the places you should come and see.

It was as if I was in Europe - at times Italy, other times France, sometimes Spain and even it was if I was in an English garden. I had visited Miami several times over the years but somehow never visited Vizcaya before.
I love this place, its historical, beautiful, and an amazing place to visit. The Gardens and house are not to be believed.
If you are wanting to see a part of south Florida history this is a good place to start.
