If you happen to be in it then by all means look at the animals ... for such a big city this is not a great zoo. The enclosures range from ok to small the signage is almost non existent... it is free though

All attractions at the Lincoln Park Zoo are very well explained. Diverse selection of animals, climates... Plus it is free!

I've been to better and worse zoos. The atmosphere here is reasonable, the layout sucks. It is really confusing to get around. The animals seem to have really small enclosures. They do have some rare animals, staff/volunteers are rude. Children run wild here.

Parking pricy starting at $25 but great place. Love the primate exhibits. Also the staff explaining and answering questions. A great place place to spend an afternoon or full morning.

Quite nice & Free! Great gorilla & chimpanzee exhibits. A few empty exhibits. Good for families. If a free couple hours & ok weather go for it.

It's a beautiful zoo and it's still free to visit. Great exhibits and buildings are also very nice. Great place to come with your kids but it's a nice place for adults also. There is cafe for lunch but it's a bit pricey. Plant life,...More

Take the South Shore all the way to Millennium Station. At the corner of Washington & Wabash catch a CTA #151 Sheridan bus. Get off at Stockton & Dickens.
