Savute Reserve is one of the greener area's in the Okavango Delta during dry season due the precense of the Chobe river with a lot of wildlife in the area. The road from the Savuti Campsite to Ngoma gate is bumpy as a washboard with here and there deep sand during dry season,…
Take a guide through the reserves. Self drive is available but you see so much more wildlife when guided. This is a wonderful part of the chobe national park. Great wildlife viewing though very dry 2019. Dawn drives are a must.
It was amazing. Going in September they were experienceing an unprecedented drought so things were really dry. A llot of the watering holes were dried up , but I was able to still see quite a few animals
Incredible wild wilderness area where the absolute feeling of isolation is just magical. Viewed Lion, Elephant and Buffalo every day and Leopard twice in only 4 days.
Saw leopards, cheetah, lions and cubs as well as elephants, zebra, impala, giraffe etc. Not as busy as the area around Kasane.
