Although I didn't wander much in this park, the whirlpool in itself is amazing. A plaque details the verocity and immenseness of this natural wonder.

What a fantastic colour of the Niagara river gently flowing down several hundred feet below. Preferably go early morning and soak in the beautiful atmosphere

We went over to the Canada side of the falls and were able to see the whirlpool. We went on a tour with Over the Falls(Adam's Family) and it was so interesting to learn and see everything.

Did the Whirlpool Rapids Trail, it's appropriately considered Challenging. Good hiking shoes or boots are recommended. The views of the rapids are breathtaking. We'd hike this trail again!

Plenty of free parking (a relief after Ontario's gouging), a small natural history room that we skipped, clean restrooms, basic trail map display, and access to some nice walkways along rim and stairs down into gorge. Wear proper footwear, take plenty of water and you'll...More

I'm not sure. I didn't see any cabins but I'd say to contact the part directly. They have a website and it'll probably have a bunch of information
