A trip to this imposing glacier gives you a chance to walk on the ice wearing cleats and to see and hear a truly astounding spectacle: blocks of ice rupturing and floating away as icebergs.

It's huge! It's amazing! Don't miss the trekking. What you're gonna see is unique and you can't see from the cruise. The mini trekking is pretty easy and I belive everyone in a healthy condition with no mobility problems can do it.

The glacier is an absolute must do when in El Calafate. We hired a taxi who dropped us there and waited 3 hours for us while we explored.

One thing I can say is to arrive early. We got there around 3 and felt rushed because of the bus schedule. If you are going during the summer dress in layer, due to the amount of walking and the higher you go the colder...More

I decided to visit the glacier before Global Warming takes them all, :) and was really surprised to learn that Perito Moreno is the only Glacier that isn't neither shrinking or growing. I had an awesome trip to Argentina overall, but by far hiking the...More

You can take a city bus from El Calafate straight there. Cheapest way. No guide. Check schedule. We drive ourselves there in our rented car. It was a great day!
