Stayed at the research center in the National Reserve. Wonderful experience. Able to see Capybara, white caiman and a lot of birds. This is an area almost unblemished by man

Around lake sandoval there are lots of monkeys and other animals. Book your hike in Puerto Maldonado and not in Cusco. We payed less than half the price we were offered in Cusco for the same lodge. Stay one night at least in the lake...More

View the animals and wild life by boat. It can get hot and humid if on there for a few hours. The boats are not comfy but what you see will make up for it. Make sure you have plenty of water and sun cream

Friendly helpful and informative staff well equipped to assist us to view the birdlife. We stayed in lovely bungalows open to let breeze through but with mesh to keep out bugs. Basic meets luxury, mixed with rustic charm. We enjoyed a trip on the Amazon...More

It's great because we had a really raw experience, it's not like in Iquitos where you get to carry animals and take selfies with them. Minimum distances were kept, many wildlife spotted!

Lots of wildlife to hunt out by day and night. We loved the trips up and down the river- was a break from the heat and humidity. A very diverse and beautiful area that’s being maintained for future generations. Wish we could have stayed a...More

What an experience! My whole family loved this place. We saw a huge flock of scarlet macaws up close at a clay lick, and endangered black caiman with babies, agouti and capybara, and many many monkeys. We caught piranha and saw amazing huge trees and...More
