The climb up is quite steep after about 5 to 10 mins walk from carpark. Took me almost 30 mins to get to the lookout, stayed about 10 mins for photo shots then head back down in about 20 mins. Way down is easy and...More

It's not an easy climb up but well worth the view. Approximately 40 minutes up to the lookout with lots of steps. Can stop for breaks along the way. Beautiful view, highly recommended for those visiting or staying in Freycinet National Park.

Super lovely walk. Sun shine but not too hot. The lookout is a great view ( you can keep the sunglasses that fell off his hat as we took tourist photos). In awe of the elderly gentleman who walked escorted by family. No mean feat...More

The walk to the lookout is 45’ or more, quite steep and not particularly interesting. The view is great when you get there but we have enjoyed other Tasmanian walks far more e.g. Nelson Falls, Russell Falls, Junee Caves, Valley of the Styx. To walk...More

This is the second time I’ve done this trail and it’s as uphill as I remember. Lots of steps but regardless of your fitness provided you take plenty of stops you will be fine. Colours in the bay are best when there is sun shining...More

Inside Freycinet National Park is one of the prettiest beaches in the world. You have to hike to it there are no roads. You can also just hike to the lookout as well.

I agree with the other comments. Safe to carry a baby, and there are places to rest. Also look at doing the boat trip to Wineglass Bay, well worth it!
