Willamette Falls though remarkable to read about, were disappointing to view. The falls only have a small portion that flows as the area is covered with industrial hydro-electric plant equipment. Powerful as it is...the falls are disappointing aesthetically.

Get out for a hike, but get there early, because this attraction is so close to metro Portland, and the parking shuts down, once the park is full. This bridal veil-type falls is notable for its drop, rather than water volume, and can explored by...More

This isn’t a destination, but more of a pullout in the city. No entrance fee and you can spend as little as 2 min or way more. Not natural falls but man made. Looking from the south street side you don’t have a great view,...More

A beautiful view and some historical buildings. Turn out can be fun at peak times to get back on road but in all a cute little falls.

The falls are surrounded by industrial buildings and there were log jams and trash all around it. Very disappointing.

I was getting in some morning exercise and stumbled on the best view of these falls. It is actually 3/4 of the way across the bridge that is just north of the falls. There is a safe walkway on the bridge as it is pretty...More

Winter when it has been raining is probably my favorite time to visit....it is amazing to see the amount of water going over the falls. One time I was able to ride in a boss through the nearby locks ... which as a very cool...More

This review is for the view point from the path after riding the municipal elevator. There are a lot of industrial buildings between the elevator and the falls--most of the appear abandoned and dilapidated. The view of the falls is from the back (and fairly...More

Amazing! What a tremendous amount of water. You can see the old infostructure, I am sure there is a story here that would be cool to learn.

The falls are a great backdrop when hiking, walking or running the paths/trails around the area. Love how every season the view of the falls changes from salmon going up stream, lots of water to lower water levels going over it.

You can certainly walk the dogs on lease on the walk to see the falls but you will need to contact the Museum about the dogs. I see someone sent you the phone number. That should help.

Yes. The #1 rated company is Willamette Jetboat Excursions. Willamette Falls is second only to Niagra Falls, as to volume of water!

Depending upon what part of Lake Oswego you are in it is between 6 and 8 Miles. There is a jet boat that leaves Portland and goes to the Falls which is a lot of fun. It may not run all year around so best to Google it and... More
