You can walk in anytime during the day to view the theater - the acoustics are amazing and standing on opposites sides you can carry out a conversation in normal talking voice and every word is heard as clearly as standing next to the person...More

Live theatre is always thrilling but this place has an extra dazzle! It is small hence intimate with the performers who actually come into the seating area during performances! We will go back here the next time we visit Charleston.

The story of this building is indicative to the history of Charleston. Act 1: A hotel for the planters, or otherwise known, the slave owners. It was one of the fanciest hotels around. Act 2: A market for former slaves. Oh the irony. Act 3:...More

We visited the dock street theatre as part of a street tour of Charleston. Incredible history. Worth a visit! Did not have time to see a show unfortunately.

The theater was open for us to walk through on the morning we were touring Charleston. Absolutely beautiful inside. It was our lucky day.

Saw Beauty and the Beast here with 30 high school singers. They loved it, and so did us chaperones. The quality of the performances, stage and choreography were all top notch. Also enjoyed the somewhat intimate theater. Would go again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful small vintage theater. Nice setting, friendly staff. Cute patio for drinks. The acting was tremendous. Funny, serious, hilarious at times. The set was simple but perfect. We had a great time, highly recommend the show and the theater. Wish I lived closer, would love...More
