We drove over to Sun Studio from Graceland - it’s not far and easy to find. There’s a small parking lot in back of the studio, much easier to park there because there wasn’t much street parking available. We arrived about 30 minutes early to...More

Our tour guide told an interesting story of the history of this place. A history that included a teen aged Elvis, and a lot of other great artists like Howlin' Wolf and Billy Blue Bland. Exhibits are very interesting, and it's a worthwhile visit!

The studio tour was recommended during our tour of Graceland so we headed over on Saturday around 3:00 pm and it was completely sold out for the day. We decided to give it another try on Sunday and we got the 10:30 am tour. You...More

Visited Sun Studio to see where Elvis and others got started. It was fun to see the memorabilia. Our private tour guide read his speech off an iPhone so that was a little off putting. Could you walk around without the private tour, yes.

Lydia was an extremely knowledgeable & fun tour guide. The studio itself is small, but its full of interesting memorabilia. Walking into the actual studio you really feel the presence of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Otis Redding, BB King... Very entertaining. It would be wise to...More

I agree, too much for one day. There’s a lot to see at Graceland, 3 hours or more. Depends where you’re staying too. Sun studio is in the centre of Memphis. We walked up from the Holiday Inn and got a local bus back.

I agree. Note the comment about the stairs. It is a small place. There is not much moving about.

We didn’t , we just turned up. But they only take so many people at once so it probably wouldn’t hurt to book a time before you go.. We were lucky, it was a wet day and nit many people there.
