“Immortalised by Van Gogh”
This lovely stone church in the quaint and scenic town of Auvers sur Oise is the subject of one of Van Gogh's most well known paintings. If you just take photos of the facade, you will miss the charming interiors and the many small replicas and "versions" of Van Gogh's…
The church is instantly recognizable as the one painted and immortalized by Van Gough. Although not a huge church, it is really pretty. The whole town has plaques detailing the life and works of van Gough, which I loved.
The church was one of Van Gogh’s famous paintings during his stay at Auvers sur-Oise. Small church but beautiful and still well maintained. The church can be reach as soon as we arrive at the city.
As always, so lovely, so full of history & always touches my soul when I enter & someone is playing the organ. I can see why Van Gogh painted this structure.
This church is best known because of the Van Gogh painting. We passed it several times before venturing inside. It's well worth the visit. It's a little Gothic gem that goes back to the 11th century.
