We enjoyed our visit to Imiloa, even though I did expect much more. We enjoyed the presentations and the interactive exhibits. They have a nice little gift shop. I purchased some gifts to take back home. Bring a sweater, it’s freezing inside.

The tour stopped for lunch at the Imiloa Astronomy Center in Hilo. This place was very cool and also has a nice restaurant built in it. There is a great gift shop with tons of items, there also are restrooms and drinking fountains, and it...More

Planetarium has variety of shows. Check schedule online. Our narrator was knowledgable, but her delivery could use some sprucing up.

We filled a spare morning at the centre which also took in a planetarium show. Was fantastic, and the presenter was very knowledgeable. Great if you have a spare morning or afternoon to fill. Kids enjoyed it immensely.

We visited on a weekday at about 3 pm. A couple of school tours were just leaving and very few other people were there. My 8yo and 10yo (and the adults with them) enjoyed the many interactive exhibits and information boards on astronomy, traditional wayfinding,...More
