If you make one stop on the road to Hana, make it here. The Banana bread and macadamia choc ice-cream will change your life, no doubt about it.

Halfway to Hana was the friendliest place I’ve ever visited. The banana bread is out of this world and shaved ice was just what the doctor ordered. This is a MUST when traveling to Hana. You won’t regret spending time here.

We stopped for banana bread at "Halfway to Hana", and it was very good but pricey. Nice place to stretch your legs and move on. Side note... they have very clean port-a-johns.

I don't even like banana bread but this was amazing. The apple bananas give it a different taste. It also makes for a great snack either on your way up or back from Hana.

Yes banana bread is awesome but the pineapple smoothie was PHENOMENAL! Get the bread to go grab a smoothie to enjoy immediately

We stopped here for refreshments while on a bus tour. The shaved ice was very good and the staff pleasant to deal with.

Well-located on the Hana Highway at Mile Marker 17, we came here specifically for a break to stretch our legs, use the washroom and get our sweet banana bread. It did not disappoint. I have to admit that we also tried another seller nearby on...More

I concur with the answer above. I will also for warn you that unless you are into hot dogs bring your own picnic lunch. There are several excellent restaurants in Paia to get lunch to go!
