This was an excellent little beach just outside the tourist spots. My son and I were on a quest to swim with the sea turtles (or to at least see one) and we accomplished that here. They swam all around us as we watched.
A lovely beach with shower and bath house. It was a great swimming beach. You had a choice of sunny sand or shade on the grass with both quite close to the water. It is interesting to watch the canoe club members practice different skills. It was very friendly and clean
There are too few places on Maui where you can just pull off the road and stretch your legs and also spot wildlife. This is one of the better ones and also is situated near a well maintained cemetery, which is in fact quite interesting and peaceful.
A long beach with a shaded walk. Benches. One of the better beaches for sitting on. Washrooms. Can get away from traffic noise. Enough parking.
Passing by the Canoe Club and the ancestral cemetery, the park opens up its warm arms inviting picnic-ers to sit under the overhangs at the tables, stoke up a barbeque, spread a blanet out on the grass, maybe celebrate a birthday (or wedding), and spend a day at the beach. …
