We enjoyed visiting Maui Ocean Center. We were told it would take about 3-5 hours to see everything. It took us 2 hours. The map makes the park look bigger than it really is. The 3D show of the whales was very impressive and worth...More

Keiki loved the petroglyphs! Wish there was more education on the aquatic animals. My keiki said they learned more about Kahoʻolawe than the iʻa. I didn’t mind the extra education since it’s very important for the islands. I just thought we would be submerged in...More

We’d been to Maui several times in the last 20 years and had visited just about every attraction but had never been to the Aquarium. When we read about a behind the scenes tour we booked as soon as we arrived at the hotel. We...More

The Humpback Whale video was amazing, I got goosebumps; but so short for a 3-year film project. I really enjoyed the 360 degree theatre. The turtles and fish tanks captivated my toddler, and I really appreciated the informational bits. Well-written and just enough for a...More

We enjoyed the aquarium. The size of the stingrays was just astonishing. The glass tunnel is great & helps you appreciate ocean ecosystems. Presentations were informative but not “stuffy,” easy for all ages to understand. The gift shop was great, too!

The center is well done - compact arrangement. The new sphere exhibit for the whales is beautiful. We also had a nice lunch at the restaurant.

Saw the 3D surround short movie on whales. Good gift shops. A little interesting, but better to see animals in the oceans of Maui. Informative for those not planning on snorkeling or sailing.

The aquarium is small but very clean and has some very nice exhibits. The whale attraction is very cool because it’s 3D and very life like. The big tank is awesome but that’s about it. They have smaller exhibits. Very good to do if you...More

My wife and I visited the Maui Ocean Center as part of a value pass that included the Atlantis Submarine, Maui Tropical Plantation, and Bailey House Museum. We drove past the ocean center after we landed and were on our way to Lahaina -- didn't...More

Did not do any behind the scene tours. Did take the time to listen to the presenters as they were excellent and provided detailed information. Also used the handheld audio device ($3) which provided additional information... More

I checked with my 15 year old daughter who enthusiastically said yes. The only ones I remembered were the ones they were raising that we saw in the behind the scenes tour. Enjoy!
