One main goal for Oahu was fining the sea turtles, and Laniakea Beach did not disappoint. They say the best time to go is between 11-1, during this time I did manage to see about 5 sea turtles in the ocean and two came up...More

If you don’t mind the rocks and bus loads of tourists then it may be for you. There are life guards.

Due to the hordes of people, there was no room for the turtles! if you drive anti -clockwise around the Island the parking is on the opposite side of the road, which makes getting back on the road difficult to due to traffic congestion.

Fascinating to see such large turtles swimming in the water and coming ashore. Too bad parking is lacking, as is easier access to the beach. But once there so were the turtles. Please stay 10 feet away from them. Someone almost fell right on top...More

Laniakea beach is located on the North Shore of Oahu. We hired a car, but many different tour companies do day trips there. The beach is very nice to swim at. You can stand on the shore and see turtles swimming in the shallows. While...More

The best time to see turtles is early in the day before most people arrive at the beech. I suggest heading there at sunrise for the best chance at seeing turtles. Having said that, we did see a turtle on the beech at 4pm... More

I'd also rent a car for the day. See the turtles and then run over to one of the waterfall ponds.
