Nice views of the Colorado River. It is a small park and the 20$ fee per vehicle is quite expensive for what it offers.

Don't miss this place. Even though it's "only" a State Park and not a National Park, it ranks right up there with the best parks of any stripe for beautiful, majestic, varied views.

This trip blessed us so much! A good deal of folks there to watch the sunset & there is a certain peacefulness about it & calm respect & openness with those you’ve never met before. All of us there, in complete awe, saying oh, awesome,...More

What a beautiful area but such a sad legend. This was our stop as we left Canyonlands N'tl Park Island in the Sky.

More of Canyonlands beauty in a State Park. And borders Canyonlands. Well worth the visit. A beautiful place with gorgeous scenery.

After spending the day in Canyonlands our podcasted tour-guide suggested that the views at Dead Horse are stunning and should not be missed. Well, maybe when he recorded the podcast the entry fee was not up to $20 (our 2015 tour book had it only...More

I said sad because we were told how it got its name. Each of these stops offers more and more wonderful views of the area. Happy that we didn't miss this one.

I love mountain biking out at Dead Horse, sure the trails aren't the most challenging in Moab, but the views cannot be beat! Great visitor center and plenty of parking. Plus the entrance fees support our public lands.

Visited on way back from Canyonlands and so glad we did. It cost a few bucks...but the roads are great along with plenty of immense views which were different from Canyonlands and plenty of educational opportunities to learn about our daily environment.

If I remember correctly, the visitor center was about a mile from the entrance booth (closed when we arrived for sunset but you could still use bathrooms - plus there's a coffee shop there)and the lookout area wasn't that... More
