Spent a whole day here touring, sightseeing, and walking the Rim Trail where we had lunch overlooking the canyon. Amazing views in this beautiful area. We did not do The Maze part of the park for obvious reasons - (we were driving a Suburban.) Nor...More

Great park, beautiful scenery and far less crowded than Arches or Zion for example. Saw all the sites at all the stops, including the sandstone arch which was really nice and pretty easy walk vs most at Arches, took a couple short hikes and departed...More

Spent a day exploring this park, the views were amazing and the hikes were great. Some easy and some grueling, but all gratifying.

The drive through Canyonlands offers lots of overlooks to view the canyons. There are two sections to the park, but we just did the Island in the Sky area. The drive in the park is easy, and there is a nice visitor center.

Don't miss Canyonlands National Park on your trip to Moab. The views are spectacular, it is easy to navigate the park, just allow enough time to enjoy as much as you can!

Absolutely beautiful area of the country. Park 3 on our Mighty 5 journey. Canyonlands did not disappoint! Breath taking views and was just in awe looking out over the canyons. Only hiked the rim trail at the end of the road. Awesome view of the...More

There is a scenic drive into the Islands in the Sky section of this park. Make sure you stop at the visitor center and walk across the road to the overlook. It is the first chance to see the vastness of this park. Then drive...More

Canyonlands was an "add-on" since we were in the area anyway after leaving Arches. Glad we went. It allows you to kinda have a birds eye view looking down into the canyons. Several overviews that require little or no walking. There are 4 sections, we...More

We did this part of the park on our own - did Mesa Arch, Upheaval Dome (we hiked all the way to the 2nd overlook) and Grand View Point trail. We did Needles with a 4 wheel drive tour - it was awesome as well

Most RVs are OK as long as they stay on the paved roads. The park is divided into 4 sections. The only ones I would try to access are Island in the Sky and Needles. I pulled a small trailer into Needles, no problem. While... More
