Our visit to Old North Church was an absolute favorite. We arrived shortly after they opened, and had plenty of time to wander through the church and read all of the historical information, before we took the first tour at 10am. I had goosebumps the...More

Employees were very knowledgeable. IT was an extra $2 to tour the bell tower and the crypts. So worth it!

Definitely go in and listen to the guide (10-15 minutes lesson). Just a really cool piece of world history. Whole visit won't take too long, glad I went. I would skip the chocolate shop... get a picture of Revere with steeple in background.

We took the behind the scenes tour that runs once an hour on the hour. They take you up one flight of very narrow steep stairs to see where they ring the bells, show you the crypt below the church and the outside. You do...More

This was a must see for us. While we were in the church one of the employees gave a short speech about how the church was funded by the box seats. And about Paul Revere. That adds a lot to the visit.

This is a must place to see especially if you have an interest in history. It's much more than just a church.

So, how did this "lantern thing" happen anyway? We are in a church built for the English king with his silver communion service (his gift) and peopled by his faithful ... and somehow this becomes the site for the trigger for the revolution? How does...More

The best place to take a photo of the lanterns in the steeple would be from Hull Street by Copp's Hill Burying Ground. If you'd like to attend the Lantern Ceremony itself, tickets are still available at... More

The Freedom Trail is 2.5 miles and if you stop at each of the historic sites to see them it takes 5-6 hours. The Old North Church can be seen in a self guided tour in 15-20 minutes. They do have a guided crypt and bell... More
