Stone street has plenty of bars and has a great atmosphere. Historically it is one of the oldest streets in new York and famous for its cobbles.

Just steps from Wall Street is the cobble stone outdoor dining spot lined with brown stone buildings. Many restaurants to choose from with first come first served seating. Sure, you can sit inside any one of the terrific establishments, but cool factor is out on...More

Stone Street itself has attractive buildings along a cobblestone street but the middle is all restaurant seating and the restaurants seem dicey, although they’re good for a drink if you order at the bar to avoid the slow service. However, nearby streets like Pearl St...More

Fun to stroll down the street and check out all the eating establishments. There are several choices and you should be able to find something you like. The cobblestone street and historic buildings take you back in time.

When the weather is warm more excitement and people and drinking outside. If you are in the area definitely check it out a lot of history and cool pubs.

Stone street goes back to the 1770s, making it one of the oldest streets in the city, in an area of streets that seem to have no design; they just go in all directions, unlike the rest of the city (save the West Village), where...More

This was not on my list of places to see, and only noticed the area because I was walking around. Quite interesting. One reason to explore NYC on foot.

This is one if the most historical areas of the city although I think it gets overlooked too often. From the original Wall Street to custom house, the stock exchange, Federal Hall and more, there is much to discover in just historical sights. On top...More

Such a cute area right in the midst of lower manhattan. So many choices of places to eat. Taverns, etc. You can eat indoors or right on the cobblestone street.

Hi, that is a part of history I'm not sure about. Sorry. You might be best to call the city info center to see if they can source answers.
