As stupid as the "needle" is in the center of Centra; Park, The bar called "Cleopatra's Needle" is a blast - decorated for all seasons! And the barkeep will cut you off after two - even if you are walking. If you laugh too much......More

The obelisk is located inside Central Park and can be found on most online maps. It's not absolutely necessary to visit, but it's free and right off the path so there is no harm if you are walking through that particular part of the park.

This was probably the best work of art in the park. A genuine Egyptian needle. Pretty cool. Just behind the Met.

This lovely and quaint jazz bar is the most authentic experience in the entire neighborhood. The talent on open mic night just blew my mind. From the sax, piano, vocals.....amazing!!! Great happy hour too. I’m officially addicted to this spot!

Overpriced and mediocre at best. Go anywhere else in the neighborhood - the food is prefab and the wine pours are tiny. Not worth the price.
