This museum has a lot of great exhibits and is not too large. They have huge dinosaur skeletons, a variety of well-made dioramas, and a butterfly room where the butterflies wiz past you or sometimes land on you! They have some live animals and insects...More

We were looking for something else to do after visiting the Reading Terminal Market. The nice thing is it was Museum Weekend so it was free to get in. Now I have been spoiled going to the Smithsonian Museums in DC. Even the one in...More

This is pricey ! Some good dinosaur exhibits on the ground floor but I don't think they justify the entry price. They wanted extra money for a further exhibit upstairs. No thanks. Lovely building - some amazing touches eg door handles crafted after pelican skulls....More

This museum is full of really neat fossils and dioramas for those who prefer to see animals not in a zoo, 3/4 floors with the top floor being an interactive play area for kids. I’d give it 5 stars but the prices were very high,...More

Lots of skeletons and dinosaur related items. Stuff for kids and adults. The 3rd floor has interactive area for kids where they can see, learn and touch different animals and insects.

We always stop by the museum when bring friends or family into the city. It's not real big so it doesn't take up a lot of time. Some of the exhibits are a little dated so younger kids will get bored in certain areas.

We spent a great time in family. Very interesting. During our visit, there was an exhibit : the Dinosaurs around the World. Fantastic reproduction. The museum is not too big and so perfect with kids. The Dinosaur Hall is amazing. BRAVO

My husband and I have been Academy of Natural Science members for years. I think our youngest was 4 when we originally signed up. Now at 11 she has simply reached a point that she has outgrown this space. The good parts of this museum...More

Overall: Not worth the high cost if you don’t have children in your party. Price: 4/10. Very expensive for what is billed as an all ages museum which in fact turned out to be very child oriented with the many of not all of the...More

Apart from the museum entrance fee there was an additional charge to see the Dinosaur museum. The dinosaur and the animation was great, all others things were not interesting. We liked the Franklin Institute a lot

Based on my observations of the children at the museum, the 4-11 year olds were enjoying the museum. Most the the 12+ children appeared disinterested.

There is a surface lot directly behind the Academy of Natural Sciences. The address is: 114 N 19th St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 We have used it several times. It costs a few bucks but is worth it for the convenience. Cheers!
