Savannah may be one of the prettiest cities in America. It didn't get destroyed during the Civil War, so there is lots of wonderful architecture and great old houses to tour. Savannah's twenty-two squares add to its charm and make it a city of gardens...More

Walked through the old district on the way home from a restaurant. Stopped to admire many of the lovely old buildings. Very varied. Reminiscent of New Orleans. Definitely worth a visit if you like old buildings.

Yes, it's at the Hyatt hotel but accessible from the outside. We used it to come back up from the river.

My wife and I never felt worried for our safety. We were all over the historic district and all times of the day and night. The worst we had to deal with was some of the panhandlers but none we came across were a problem.
