We totally were enthralled with this tour with our guides Perez and Patrica when we booked a day of birdwatching followed by a hike into a beautiful welcoming local community village.

Of everything we did in Uganda, this tour was one of our tops, second only to the gorilla trekking. An amazing and informative tour that supports the village in the process. Patrick, our guide, started with the swamp/wetlands walk. He was very knowledgeable, and knew...More

Bigodi wetland sanctuary is the best birding place with well trained guides. The walk is done in the swamp bordering community gardens. There is also a walk through the papyrus swamp on the boardwalk.

We had a really nice 2 hour walk through this reserve. We saw over 60 different types of birds and over 6 types of monkeys. Our guide was David who was very knowledgeable about the birds, animals and plants. HIghly recommend.
