Tourist trap town.
They easy routes into town all lead you to paid parking, but if you drive one street further, you can park for free.
I've noticed this in other towns on the D-Day route, so not falling for it anymore.
We visited sainte mere eglise on our battlefield tour..a wonderful little village with loads of history and character.

Loved this place, so pretty and and with a great museum.
Food in local establishments really good value and quality.
Local vets next to the main supermarket outside of town very handy for pet tapeworm treatment if travelling back to the Uk.
