Of course everyone knows about Big Beach & Little Beach (the nudist beach) aka Makena Beach, but Makena Landing? I learned about this through an app I downloaded Gypsy travel Maui, and decided to take the guides advice and turn down this road. What a...More

Go to the right upon entering the water as the area further out has better snorkeling. Went two days; first day the water was calm good visibility and saw 6 turtles. Came back another day visibility was only like 1 foot and while we did...More

The beach area was small and many commercial groups were running kayaking, snorkeling and scuba tours from this location. But it is the only place I found shells! There were public bathrooms and showers making this a great stop!

You will see some fish and turtles here. Easy entry to the water from the parking area. Some shade under the trees on the grass by the parking to relax after snorkeling.

Snorkeled several places. This was recommended by the Snorkel Store. Narrow beach leads to great snorkeling in a protected cove. Turtles and fish abound. Stay to the right of the cove as you enter the water.

Too busy, there were two hired boats in the area for group snorkeling, a group of scuba divers, probably 30 kayakers. Did see much of snorkeling.

Great place for water sports - snorkeling, kayaking, diving etc. Almost always see turtles along with other fish. Flush toilets and outdoor showers are a plus
